The CRF230L is a great bike and has made me feel comfortable very quickly as a beginner. It has a lot of torque for a 230cc and is great on the trails but yet can handle commuting to town or on the highway just as easily.
I computed 92.55 miles/gallon, so this bike can go a long distance on a fillup. It has dual disc brakes instead of just a drum brake on the rear so it stops very quickly.
It also is a Honda, so I know the motor is bulletproof. The only complaint that I have is the seat gets uncomfortable if you're on it for a long period of time, but it is a dual-sport---not a cruiser.
If you want a versatile, do-it-all, commuter bike, this bike will qualify quite nicely and you won't go wrong by purchasing one.
Upgrades/Accessories: None at present---hope to get rear rack at some point for extra storage capability.
